Pre-Christmas

These are in Thoiry; we were walking back from a Christmas Vigil sing-a-long thing they had at the church :D
We made snowflakes in the hopes of finally getting some snow!

Haha this was an outing to the town stairs... we ate our snack there one afternoon :)

I have no idea what happens to the livestock in this town... one day they are here, the next they are gone! I think that horse went to the horse farm where I learned how to drive, but maybe these cows went to the butcher? lol i really don't know but they were only here about a week and there were about 30-40 of them.
a HUGE leaf

you can see a bit of our house to the right, but i was going for the shot of the snow on the mountain... i was trying to show you how there is no snow at our house or anywhere in town, but if you walk uphill towards the mountain sometimes within 15 mins walking distance there is a couple inches of snow! it's so weird to me but then i guess i've never lived near mountains before. i love it! they say there's usually only about 2 inches of snow at our house but you can go skiing every weekend up in the mountains.
We love building forts (myself included, of course).
These 2 were taken in Lausaunne (a shopping center about 20 mins away, I think in Switzerland). It's nice how every mall, all the stores, houses, even pharmacies decorate for Christmas!

Paris is coming tomorrow! I have narrowed it down to 50 pictures to upload!

It's hard to put into words...your pics are precious...I still like to make forts...the pic with the chess board is excellent & the pic above that is "award winning" because of the shading/facial expression combination...awesome!
Your sharing means a lot to an old romantic like me...thanks,tumbleweed.
