This is the station where my train arrived in Paris.

Christmas Day (a view from the stairs when everyone was just coming in the house).

My pseudo "immediate family," with whom I spent Christmas.

Dimitri (the father of the family) went to the U.S. the week before and brought us back peanut butter!! (the French don't eat it, and in the stores here you can only buy the really little half jars and they cost 5x as much! so we were very happy!)

The father of my host family sent over a couple of gifts to the house in Paris before I even arrived. It was a nice to surprise to have presents to open there! I wasn't expecting anything (especially because they paid for my train ticket there). The white box is an alarm clock... I still have a LOT of trouble waking up in the morning!

Grandma and (almost all) the kids Christmas day.
